Terms of Service

Effective date: (last updated: 30 July 2026)

1. Acceptance and definitions

These Terms of Service (the "Terms") form the agreement between you and the operator of temp77.com ("we", "us") governing your use of the Service. By accessing temp77.com (the "Site") or using any of its features, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy; if you do not agree, please stop using the Service immediately.

In these Terms: "disposable inbox" means the one-time receive-only address and its inbox automatically generated on the Site's homepage; "relay service" means the alias creation and mail forwarding features available after logging in; "alias" means an address under the @temp77.com domain within the relay service that forwards incoming mail to your real inbox.

2. Eligibility

To use the Service you must have the legal capacity appropriate to your use, and you warrant that your use complies with the laws of your jurisdiction. If you are under 16, please use the Service with the consent and guidance of a guardian.

3. What the Service provides

Temp77 offers two capabilities, both entirely free, with no paid plans, premium tiers, or hidden charges of any kind:

  • Disposable inbox: open the page and automatically receive a one-time address that collects mail in real time and self-destructs at expiry;
  • Relay service: log in with your real email via a verification code, then create alias addresses; mail sent to an alias is automatically forwarded to your real inbox and kept in a 30-day online archive on the Site.

Please understand clearly: every address on this Site can only receive mail — it cannot send or reply. This is a deliberate product decision, not a missing feature: it preserves the anonymity of your addresses and eliminates any possibility of the Service being used as a source of spam.

4. Disposable inbox rules

  • Each address is valid for 3 hours by default, with a countdown shown on the page to the second;
  • You may extend the validity at any time, but a single address cannot live longer than 24 hours from creation; once that cap is reached, no further extension is possible;
  • When the validity ends, the address and all of its messages are permanently deleted and cannot be recovered by any means;
  • The disposable inbox does not store file attachments — only the message body and images are shown; mail carrying attachments over 100MB is rejected outright at the server;
  • If you actively switch to a new address, the old address and its inbox are likewise invalidated immediately;
  • The access credential is written to both the page URL and your browser's local storage; anyone holding that link can open the inbox while the address is valid, so do not share the link with people you do not trust;
  • Disposable inboxes are not suitable for receiving invoices, password resets, contracts, or other mail that must be kept long-term or carries significant stakes; use the relay service or your regular mailbox for those.

5. Relay service rules

  • Login uses an email verification code — no password is set; a first-time email is registered automatically; the session lasts 7 days, after which you must verify again;
  • Each account may create up to 100 aliases; a prefix must start with a letter, be 3–30 characters long, and use only letters, digits, dots, hyphens, or underscores; reserved names such as admin or support and prefixes already taken cannot be registered; leave the prefix blank and the system assigns one automatically;
  • Aliases can be paused and resumed at any time. Mail sent to a paused alias is dropped outright and cannot be retrieved; delivery resumes only after the alias is reactivated;
  • Deleting an alias permanently disables that address immediately — it can no longer receive mail and cannot be re-registered to your account;
  • Each incoming message is archived online for 30 days on an individual countdown, then deleted automatically;
  • Attachments are handled by size: attachments up to 50MB are forwarded to your real inbox and kept in the 30-day archive; attachments larger than 50MB and up to 100MB are forwarded only and not archived; mail with attachments over 100MB is rejected outright;
  • Incoming mail is automatically screened for spam: blocked messages are not forwarded, only archived with a label and the reason for the block. If a message was misjudged, you can mark it as not spam in its details, and that sender will no longer be blocked;
  • Messages that fail to forward are labelled as failed in the archive, and you can retry them manually.

6. Technical limits and service level

  • Mail carrying attachments over 100MB is rejected at the server, and the sender usually receives a bounce notice; the disposable inbox stores no attachments, and the relay service forwards attachments over 50MB without archiving them;
  • To prevent abuse, verification-code sending and API calls are rate-limited; when a limit is hit the page shows a notice — simply retry later;
  • Some third-party platforms may block disposable email domains, causing sign-ups or mail delivery with our addresses to fail; such cases are outside our control;
  • Mail delivery depends on sending servers and the public network; we strive for timely delivery but make no commitment as to delivery speed or success rate;
  • The Service is provided free of charge and carries no uptime (SLA) commitment; we reserve the right to briefly interrupt the Service for maintenance or upgrades and will aim for the least disruptive time windows.

7. Acceptable use policy

You undertake to use the Service in a lawful and legitimate manner. The following are expressly prohibited:

  • Using the Service for any activity that violates applicable laws or regulations, including but not limited to fraud, money laundering, or distributing illegal content;
  • Using the Service to receive, relay, or store content that infringes the rights of others;
  • Using disposable addresses or aliases for bulk account registration, farming promotional rewards, manipulating votes or reviews, or evading bans or restrictions imposed by third-party platforms;
  • Making high-frequency requests or mass-creating resources on the Site via crawlers, scripts, or other automation, or probing or exploiting system vulnerabilities in any way;
  • Interfering with or disrupting the normal operation of the Service, including attacking the Site or its infrastructure;
  • Reselling the Service, or packaging or integrating it into your own commercial product.

For use suspected of violating this section, we may apply rate limits, suspend accounts, or terminate access as the circumstances warrant, without prior notice; all legal consequences arising from abusive use rest with the person responsible.

8. Account and security

Your relay account is identified solely by your real email address. You must safeguard access to that mailbox — anyone able to read your verification codes could log in to your relay account, and actions taken through your account are treated as your own. We recommend enabling two-factor authentication (2FA): once enabled, each login requires a one-time code from your authenticator app in addition to the email code; disabling 2FA requires verifying the current one-time code. If you discover unauthorised use of your account, contact support@temp77.com immediately.

9. Intellectual property

The Site's brand marks, page designs, written content, and program code belong to us or the respective rights holders and may not be copied, imitated, or used to build derivative services without permission. The content of mail you receive through the Service belongs to its original rights holders, and we claim no rights over it; you are responsible for ensuring that your further use of received content complies with the law and the requirements of the relevant rights holders.

10. Third-party content

Mail sent to your disposable address or alias is produced by third parties, and the sender is responsible for its accuracy and legality. Messages may contain external links; you assess and bear the risk of visiting them yourself. We advise caution with links and attachments in mail from unfamiliar senders.

11. Disclaimer

To the extent permitted by applicable law, the Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied. In particular, the following are established rules of the Service or factors beyond our control and do not constitute a breach:

  • Destruction of an address and its mail at expiry of a disposable inbox, per the rules;
  • Dropping of mail sent to a paused alias, per the rules;
  • Rejection of mail with attachments over 100MB, the absence of attachments in the disposable inbox, and the exclusion of attachments over 50MB from the relay archive;
  • Failed or delayed mail delivery caused by third-party platform blocks, sender-side faults, or network conditions;
  • Service interruptions caused by force majeure.

12. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we accept no liability for any indirect loss, incidental loss, loss of profit, or loss of data arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Service. The Service is provided free of charge; where mandatory law nonetheless imposes liability on us, that liability is limited to the minimum the law allows. Nothing in this section excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

13. Your indemnification obligations

If your use of the Service in breach of these Terms leads a third party to bring claims against us, or causes us loss (including reasonable legal costs), you shall indemnify us and hold us harmless.

14. Changes, suspension, and termination of the Service

We may refine and adjust the Service's features from time to time; material changes affecting core functionality will be announced prominently on the Site in advance. You may stop using the Service at any time and request deletion of your account data as described in the Privacy Policy. We likewise reserve the right to stop providing the Service to you if you seriously or repeatedly breach these Terms.

15. General provisions

  • Entire agreement: these Terms together with the Privacy Policy constitute the complete agreement between you and us regarding the Service, superseding all prior oral or written communications;
  • Severability: if any provision of these Terms is held invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect;
  • No waiver: our failure to exercise a right in response to a breach does not constitute a waiver of that right;
  • Assignment: you may not assign your rights or obligations under these Terms without our written consent; any assignment by us due to business succession will be announced on the Site in advance.

16. Amendments and contact

These Terms may be updated from time to time; updates will be posted on this page with a refreshed effective date at the top, and material changes will be flagged prominently on the Site. Continuing to use the Service after a change takes effect constitutes acceptance of the amended Terms.

For any questions or feedback about these Terms, email support@temp77.com — the Site's only official contact channel.
